Equipping locals with tools and skills to spread the Gospel through film.
The film kit centers around an iPad Mini, a device capable of capturing great quality video, editing the footage, and distributing over the internet. Students also use a tripod, microphone, storage device, and extra battery to assist them in project creation.
The training consists of five presentations and a blend of classroom teaching and hands-on learning throughout the week long course. Students complete two projects and the class ends with a film festival where students projects are screened.
The goal of this training is that mature Christ-followers trained will continue to make documentary films long after the trip. These stories are told in the native tongue with indigenous storytellers spreading the Gospel through digital media.
Everyone has a story, and these days everyone has a chance to share their story with millions over the internet. What if there were more stories available that show how God is at work around the globe? The goal of I-FILM is to train and equip locals in basic documentary filmmaking to share stories that make the name of Jesus known in their villages, and around the world.
