This is a time every year where we pause from our busy schedule to spend time with friends and family and to reflect on how much we have for which to be thankful. Before we had our Thanksgiving meal together, we went around the room and gave everyone, young and old, an opportunity to share what they are thankful for. While the responses varied, one thing was very clear — we have a lot for which to be thankful.
As this year is quickly drawing to a close, we wanted to share a few things on our Thanksgiving list.
Thankful and Grateful
We are so thankful for our extended ITEC Team who regularly prays for us. There is no substitute for our prayer warriors who lift up our team and our training trips before the Lord. We can feel it on a daily basis, and especially when we are traveling far from home. Our team travels many miles and spends time in many countries each year. We are grateful for the open doors that God has given us to train and equip His people to meet the needs of people in their communities as a door opener for the Gospel. These trips would not be as fruitful as they are without your prayers. Please continue to pray that the Lord would open doors and give us the wisdom to follow His leading.
We are also grateful for those who come alongside us financially. While we don’t talk about money a lot, it would be impossible to do everything we do without a team of people who faithfully give to further the ministry through ITEC. We know that there are a lot of other things that you could do with your money, so we are humbled and grateful when you choose to support ITEC. We take your trust in us as a huge responsibility to be good stewards of every dollar that is given. We are grateful that the Lord has laid it on your heart to give to us.
We are thankful for the team here at ITEC that have left their careers to join this ministry. Everyone who ever visits ITEC comments on how amazing our team is. We have doctors, dentists, media professionals, aerospace engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, business people, pilots, airplane mechanics, retired military, farmers, and many more who make up the day to day ITEC Team. While most of the people who work here are volunteers, every person here could be doing something else. We are grateful that the Lord has brought each one to ITEC.
Thankful For Christ
With Christmas quickly approaching, we are truly grateful that our Savior chose to come to this planet. He lived His life as an example for us to follow and ultimately gave His life so that we could be reconciled with our Heavenly Father. We are grateful that the grave could not hold Him so that we can spend eternity with Him. As we come into the Christmas season, let us be mindful of those here and around the world who have never heard the Good News that Jesus loves them. May this energize us to live our lives on mission to make Him known and to empower His people to reach their people with the Gospel.
