Long-term, relational ministry is hard. It is not usually real glamorous or a lot of positive short-term results. The church in North America has had a view of missions that focuses on monthly or yearly results. Relational ministry, however, starts very small and takes a long time. Those on the front lines need the North American church to be a source of encouragement, with people who are praying for and standing with those on the front lines.
