We need to make sure that our involvement in missions is doing missions with people and not doing missions to people.  We need to have the national, indigenous Christ followers be the ones to carry out the mission in their own community with our role being one of assistance and encouragement.

In this short clip from Session 1 of the Missions Dilemma, Florence Muindi shares some of the characteristics that she desired to have as she became involved in missions.

“In terms of the church planting, I thought I didn’t want to be looked up to as the one who was teaching.  I wanted to involve them in that teaching, be able to disciple them and let them be the ones to reach out” – Florence Muindi
