LIFE coaching is nothing new.  As a matter of fact there are many Life Coaches you can go to today.

Society defines a Life Coach as: A future-focused practice with the aim of helping clients determine and achieve personal goals.

Life Coaches select from among several methods to help clients set and reach goals. Coaches are not therapists nor consultants; psychological intervention and business analysis are outside the scope of their tasking, Life coaching has its roots in executive coaching, which itself drew on techniques developed in management consulting and leadership training.  Life coaching also draws inspiration from disciplines including sociology, psychology, positive adult development, career counseling, mentoring and other types of counseling. The coach may apply mentoring, values assessment, behavior modification, behavior modeling, goal-setting and other techniques in helping their clients.

The tools that we develop at LIFE University will equip the church to become LIFE Coaches.  To walk alongside individuals help them in different areas of life and as a side benefit build relationship and share the hope of the calling within them.  This is designed to be a hand-up into the community rather than a hand-out.

ITEC’s LIFE Focus is developing tools for discipleship and walking His Trail in all areas of life.  The LIFE Study is a tool for taking an honest assessment of your life and ask who is really writing my story?  Remember, God does not want to be the editor, He wants to be the Author.
