The I-TEC dental chair has been a huge blessing to our medical\dental teams. It has made it possible to treat more patients more comfortably for both them and us. Your support and quality of service has been excellent. Plus it is great to deal with brothers in the Lord.

My name is Shannon Allison and I am a dentist from Louisiana. I travel to the worn torn area of Burma once a year for about one month at a time. I travel from village to village along jungle trails for many miles (last mission we covered approximately 250 miles). I would like to let everyone who is interested know how well the backpack dental chair works.
For 5 years before I did all procedures on the ground on a mat, or leaning up against a tree. There are no tables and chairs to place your instruments, so we kept them as clean as we could any way we could. By the end of the mission, everything was very dirty with all the dust generated.
The dental chair with the delivery tray and utility tray now keeps everything off the ground and much cleaner, not to mention no more lower back issues. This unit was also used, very effectively, as a surgical chair to remove shrapnel, bullets and debride wounds. Again this kept the patients off the ground and in a much cleaner environment.
One of the great, unpredictable benefits was the effect of having a "high tech" piece of equipment in a remote area. It became the focal point of the treatment area with the whole village gathering around to see treatment getting done. This was wonderful because it gave the indigenous medics credibility amongst their own people instantaneously. Our goal is to help them help themselves, so they do not feel they need external help all the time.
The chair setup is currently in Burma fulfilling its task admirably. I thank God for helping me find I-TEC and their crew. They are wonderful to work with and will do anything to help you complete your mission. If you have any questions about its use, backpack-ability or other questions you can e-mail me at Northlakedental.com or call 985-626-3338.

As far as the equipment, it worked without any problems. Both lights are a great improvement over the original one. I think Kevin (Dr. Kevin Ackerman, dentist from Antioch CA) liked the yellow one best. We saw over 100 patients. Did more fillings than extractions and also a lot of cleaning. The best thing is that we are beginning to see that doors are opening for sharing the gospel. We may try to take a hygienist next time because of all the opportunities to do cleaning.

I had a first-hand experience with your equipment this summer when I traveled with John Sexton & the medical group to Romania. The dental system worked wonderfully for us this summer. It was a great asset in examining such sick children. You were wonderful in loaning it to John. ... Again, thank you for assisting "the least of these..."

We loved the dental chair. It is lightweight, durable, easy to clean, impressive engineering and awesome to unfold from the backpack. It will adjust to any position. Occasionally the patients were a little comfused how to sit down on it when it was flat, but I believe most dentists will work with it doing restorative in the back-flat position. Headrest is comfortable and correct height for the dentist. I believe this unit with a few modifications will be an outstanding piece of portable equipment. ... We would love to have the opportunity to use it again. Again, thank you so much for letting us use the awesome I-TEC dental chair.
