This week, Dr. Evan and Heather Bensler moved in locally to oversee I-Tec’s I-Med project on a full time basis for the next several months. The Benslers have been involved in the I-Med project since last February, providing assistance during the initial organization of the concept, and then returning to Florida several times to help develop and film several of the non-verbal modules. Both are experienced medical professionals. Evan will be supervising and participating in video content creation, curriculum development, filming (both sides of the camera), and editing of the completed film footage. Evan and Heather are shown above with their children Nathan, Noah, and Rachael.

While we eat our lunch, we discuss ideas we are working on. As we clear away the plates, Troy sketches an idea we are knocking around. The idea was used; his paper (a lunch napkin) was thrown away.

Aaron Peterson has joined the I-Tec team as “Director of Development.” As I-Tec’s ministries continue to gain momentum, the need for financial support has been increasing.  Aaron will be working close with our partners and supporters to ensure awareness and healthy communication.  He will also be assisting in the development of new business and marketing strategies.  I-Tec is excited about the coming months as we continue to push all fronts forward for God’s glory.

We are attempting to find 56-Henry a permanent home; someplace where it will see more flying time, & have the capacity to make an impact on a larger amount of people. Help us pray for God’s direction.

Summer interns, Jonathan Nelson and Tim Burton both left I-Tec to resume their engineering degrees back at Letourneau University in Longview, Texas. During the summer they lived on location here at I-Tec, and often worked on their projects well into the night. While they were with us, they developed, drafted, and produced a number of key components for the Maverick.

Pictured above are the two men standing on top of the Maverick, making the first tests on the parachute line winder they are designing for the Maverick. The mechanism is designed to prevent the parachute lines from tangling during set-up. They have taken the winder with them to school. It will be an engineering project in one of their shared classes.
As they were packing up, preparing to leave, they agreed that I-Tec had been a great way to invest a summer vacation!
